Abstract :
A mathematical model of the PAC-UF membrane flux through a number of factors and quantitative characterization, based on Darcy´s law, has been derived. Meanwhile, PAC-UF combined process was applied to treat Gan River micro-polluted raw water. Validity of the mathematical model is verified with the experiment. Furthermore, for different operation pressure and running time, the result shows that the model can exactly predict the membrane flux, water production, time to achieve amount of needed water and a chemical cleaning of the membrane. These parameters can be used in guiding the engineering design and operation to treat Gan River micro-polluted raw water with PAC-UF combined process.
