Abstract :
Energy capturing of Oscillating Body Wave Energy Convertor(OBWEC) is determined by the dynamic characters of the device. The wave energy is converted to the energy of single freedom degree motion. The theoretical analysis of the oscillating buoy motion is proposed and the numerical simulation of the buoy motion using AWQA software is carried out to investigate the effect of shape on the performance of the OBWEC, which provides more supports for the design of oscillating buoys for better performance of OBWEC.
