Abstract :
This paper presents the fuzzy system reliability analysis using different types of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). Till now, in the literature, to analyze the fuzzy system reliability, it is assumed that the reliabilities of components of a system follow the same type of IFNs. However, in practical problems, such type of situations rarely occurs. Therefore, in the present paper, a new algorithm has been introduced to analyze the fuzzy reliability of systems having components following different types of IFNs. Functions of IFNs are calculated to solve the fuzzy system reliability via non-linear programming techniques. Our study generalizes the various works of the literature. Numerical example is also given to illustrate the proposed algorithm.
