Abstract :
JAMSTEC has been started to develop a tsunami warning buoy system after Japan earthquake at March 11th 2011. The tsunami warning buoy system must be mooring in and near Kuroshio area. We select a slack mooring buoy system based on m-TRITON buoy system. To measure the water pressure precisely, a high accurate water pressure sensor is moored separately from surface buoy system, and water pressure data are transmitted by acoustic signal. For developing this system, acoustic signal transmission experiments were carried out at depth of 1,300-1,500 m area.
