Abstract :
This paper presents the challenges of consolidating fingerprint databases in Malaysia as well as approaches that can be taken to solve some of these challenges. Solutions leverages on opportunities presented by standard bodies, advances in cloud computing as well as a framework which leverages on classifiers and decision fusion in order to reduce the large search space expected of a consolidated fingerprint database.
