Abstract
In this paper certain limitations of fault detection using multiple model switching and tuning is discussed. In multiple model philosophy, more than one model are used for describing the different faulty situations which are run in parallel to identify the status of the system. The problems of identical behavior of models and recovery detection are addressed explicitly.
