  • Abstract
    Summary form only given.Diode-pumped Yb:YAG technology´s maturation has seen ever brighter lasers in resonator configurations suited to its unique properties. We have now incorporated our side-pumped Yb:YAG head, which, in its 2-mm embodiment generated a 450 W multimode cw beam from a minimal-length resonator, into a thermally corrected crossed-roof polarization-output-coupled resonator. It produced high brightness polarized output.
