Abstract :
Based on the research of the feature analysis on the X-ray films of chest and the rib, the author raised an algorithm, which realizes the automatic extraction of the rib frame by the physic regulations. This algorithm makes full use of the image processing method of filtering, edge detection, tracking seed, parabolic fitting, and some other related image processing technology, combined with the biological characteristics of the rib in X-ray chest film, and eventually successful application of image processing technology in a specific example is realized. The method was demonstrated in the real cases of phthisis for the lesion locating, in which the efficiency and the precision of the algorithm were illustrated to prove its fleasibility and advantages.
