Abstract :
A wideband operating antenna for digital television (DTV) in the 530-880 MHz band is presented. The proposed antenna has a planar rectangular radiating patch, in which a bended slit is inserted. The bended slit separates the rectangular patch into three subpatches. The defect ground structure is used for size reduction and impedance matching. The simulation results indicate that the proposed antenna is applicable to mobile and digital television (DTV) broadcast signal reception.
