Abstract :
This paper presents an order-reduced model for the analysis of interconnects driving an arbitrary load. It is shown that this model can be used to approximate the two-port admittance matrix of a transmission line to arbitrary accuracy, bearing explicit physical senses. It is based on series expansion, and can generate a lumped passive circuit model, but is different from moment-matching, yielding a passive and thus stable circuit model. Comparison with other models shows the effectiveness and precision of the proposed model over a wide frequency range.
