  • Abstract
    A single-value total color difference (TCD) is developed for processing color images and extracting objects from natural scenes. The method is insensitive to illumination changes and is accurate and easily implemented. The calculation of the TCD is based on J. MacAdam´s (1942) just noticeable difference
