Abstract :
In this paper, we discuss a multimedia computer-based training program under development in our laboratory and our efforts to obtain noninvasive user data during the development process. Drawing on the work of Kozma (1991) and his concept of virtual medium, we present the structure of the software, the context of its use, the features selected for tracking the data obtained, and the advantages/disadvantages of obtaining data in a noncontrolled environment
