Summary form only given.We report a detailed experimental study of photo-EMF in Bi/sub 12/TiO/sub 20/ (BTO) crystal in the presence of a dc transverse external electric field. We demonstrate the possibility of enhancement of the photo-emf signal by the transverse field in comparison with the longitudinal configuration.
