Abstract
This paper describes reversible EWOD (electrowetting on dielectric) contact angle changes (~ 25deg) in sessile droplets and linear transportation of droplets on micro filter meshes, not flat solid surfaces. A key achievement is that droplets are manipulated on highly opened micro filter meshes (the opening ratio defined by the ratio of area of holes to total mesh area is over ~ 50%). A possible application of these droplet operations will be particle capturing and sampling into droplets on highly-opened micro filter meshes.
