Abstract
Summary form only given. We have demonstrated a self-starting femtosecond Cr:forsterite laser with both broadband SESAM and chirped mirrors. The pulse width was about 22-fs at a central wavelength of 1290 nm. This experiment opens a way of constructing compact and robust Cr:forsterite lasers for various applications.
