Abstract :
A method of medical visual documents´ utility assessment is presented. It is shown that the concept of image utility consists of many aspects including image content understanding, image quality assessment etc. For image content understanding ontological models can be used. In particular, using ontological models based on the concepts of extended algebra of relations is proposed. The general idea is illustrated by simple examples.
