Abstract :
Summary form only given. High-power all-solid-state UV lasers are highly regarded for a variety of industrial, medical and scientific applications. One approach for the realization of an all-solid-state UV source is frequency conversion of a diode-pumped solid-state laser in nonlinear crystals. In the last few years CsLiB/sub 6/O/sub 10/ (CLBO) has been proved to be a suitable crystal for high power UV generation. In this paper we report on the generation of ultrashort picosecond UV pulses with high average powers and a high repetition rate of 82 MHz.
