Abstract :
Based on the present condition of using coal burning units to shave depth peak and start-stop peak in the thermal power system, the model of thermal-pumped storage unit commitment is proposed considering the rapid adjustment characteristic of pumped storage plant. The changes of pumped storage plant among pumping water, generating power and supplying spinning reserve are more effectively. And the ability of peak shaving, energy-saving and emission reducing are enhanced. The static, dynamic and environment protection functions of pumped storage plant are considered synthetically.
