Abstract
The heat transfer of flow through porous medium in the vertical sinter cooler is simulated by using thermal non-equilibrium method. Heat transfer between two phases of the porous medium is affected by the porosity, the diameter of particles and the fluid inlet velocity. A parameter called recovery efficiency of the cooler is presented in this paper. All these results provide basis for the running condition of the cooler.
