Abstract
We describe a modeling and design methodology for the integration of dynamic resource allocation networks based on Petri net representations. The main integration aspects considered are: the synchronization of planned processes and available resources, and the coordination of the formerly asynchronous processes. Both means of integration reduce the number of feasible system states. System dynamics are governed by planned and unexpected behaviours. The two concepts of planning horizon and event horizon take care of the time driven and the event driven aspects of the system.
