Abstract :
The 2013 European Conference on Radiation and its Effects on Components and Systems (RADECS 2013) was held September 23??27, 2013, in the beautiful and historic city of Oxford, U.K. Recent developments in the field of radiation effects on electronic and photonic materials, devices, circuits, sensors and systems were presented and discussed. The conference incorporated a one day short course, a technical program, an industrial exhibition and a choice of technical visits. The conference attracted 410 delegates, primarily scientists and engineers, from a total of 28 countries. Notable attendance came from France (67),USA (66),UnitedKingdom(61), Russia (45) and Germany (33). The technical program was developed by Andrew Chugg of MBDA UK Ltd., assisted by a technical program committee and a group of more than 120 reviewers. We received 203 abstract submissions, and each paper received at least four reviews, making a total of more than 1,100 reviews. We were able to accept 50 papers for the oral sessions, 58 for the poster session, and 23 in the data workshop, giving an acceptance rate of 65%. The scope of the papers was broad; they were divided into 10 technical sessions.
