Abstract
Signal distortion will appear and a series of attenuation time series will also be produced due to the interaction between the radio wave signal and the ionospheric irregularities when radio wave propagates through it. In this article, based on the traditional chaotic time series prediction and the characteristic of the attenuation time series of the ionosphere, the traditional method for prediction the chaotic time series is modified, analyzed, and a more suitable method is given. Final, by using the modified prediction method, a set of attenuate amplitude time series of radio wave signals which propagates through the ionosphere were predicted, and the prediction accuracy is also analyzed. The research shows that the modified prediction method is suitable to predict the short-term time series.
