Abstract
In this study, using "3S" techniques and partial correlation coefficients analysis, the spatial pattern and the factors of urban green spaces (UGS) in Hong Kong were analyzed in detail. Results indicate that there are many chances to improve the current conditions of UGS especially in the less densely place. The positive roles of PD and BD indicate that the organization and distribution of UGS in the study area are uneven and many residents are living in a bad environment with low green covers and biodiversity. A re-organization measure of the spatial distribution of UGS is needed and high green cover with diverse vegetation configuration should be introduced especially in the dense areas.
