Abstract :
The authors present an approach to team teaching which enhances the classroom experience of engineering undergraduates and has been met with widespread student acceptance and enthusiasm. The implementation of this approach of team teaching a multisection introductory electronics course at a large, state-supported, research university is described. It is concluded that faculty and administrators responsible for the development of teaching skills among new faculty or looking for ways of rejuvenating the teaching practices of more experienced faculty will find this approach attractive. Team teaching is strongly recommended as a means for reducing the effective teaching load on a departmental faculty while maintaining quality instruction
