Abstract :
In this paper, the bistatic coefficient of the first-order and the second-order small slope approximation is derived for the dielectric rough surface. Based on the spectral model of Elfouhaily, the scattering coefficient of rough surface is calculated, and the theoretical results are compared between the polarization VV and the polarization HH, the dependence of the backscattering coefficient on the wind speed and the dielectric constant. The results showed that theoretical results are consistent with experimental data. In the case of the backscattering, the result calculated by the small slope approximation is accuracy and the second-order makes the results more accuracy.
