Abstract :
To discover the applicable curvature range of local planar approximation in high frequency radome analysis approaches, ray tracing (RT) method and aperture integration-surface integration (AI-SI) method are employed to calculation the power transmittance of the radomes with a limited number of well-controlled dielectric wall curvature perturbations. By comparison of the two techniques with method of moments (MoM), it is demonstrated that the curvature radius should not be less than five wavelengths in this approximation.
