Abstract
Summary form only given.Vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) are interesting devices for high speed photonics. These applications require good dynamical properties and emission wavelengths in the optical-fiber windows of 1.3 or 1.55 /spl mu/m. We present results on the picosecond emission dynamics of a GaInNAs-GaAs VCSEL-structure after femtosecond optical excitation as well as on the temperature dependence of the threshold and the dynamics.
