Abstract
The iterative physical optics (IPO) is widely used to compute the radar cross section (RCS) of electrically large and realistically complex cavities. The efficiency and accuracy of the IPO heavily depends on the quality of the mesh. A mesh generation improvement based on Delaunay triangulation (DT) and the IPO procedure are presented in this paper. The mesh generated by our method has less total number and better quality of the triangles which leads to less computation time and more accurate result. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate efficiency and accuracy of the proposed approach.
