Considers two new approaches to extend the concept of coherency from the scalar to the vector wave case in electromagnetic interferometry by the inclusion of polarimetric effects. One approach is based upon the application of the concept of contraction to the coherency matrix formulation of interferometry, the other uses Hadamard products data processing
