Abstract :
In this paper, the beam-wave interaction and IM3s of a Ku-band Helix TWT are simulated with CST Particle Studio with one or two signals input respectively. Ideal electron beams are used to simulate the interaction with the slow wave and it is focused with uniform magnetic field. The attenuator is divided into several sections and the attenuation of each section is represented with different loss tangent. The results of interaction simulation with one signal input are close to the test results, the output powers of two signals and IM3s(both 2f1-f2 and 2f2-f1) products are obtained with two signals input.
