Abstract
In order to solve the problem that the DES may be attacked by differential cryptanalysis, this paper aims to design the extended-DES, first by breaking a block that is composed of 96 bits into 3 sub-blocks, then performing different f functions on each of the 3 sub-blocks, and finally increasing the S1-S8 of the S-box to S1-S16 which makes it less vulnerable to attack by differential cryptanalysis
