Abstract :
Multi-coals blending is an applicable method for energy-saving and pollutant reduction in thermal plants. However, the utilizations have been hampered by problems such as complexities of practical implements, risks against safety during operation, difficulties for economic operations, and burdens for pollution control. Aiming at these key problems, this paper offered a set of solutions, including global optimization, expert system, and dynamic inspections for coals in the bunker, to optimize the whole blending process. This research ensured the safety of both fuel system and generation unit operation, promoted technical merits and performances of coals blending, widened the coal qualities adaption range of the boilers, as well as provided a feasible way for energy-saving and pollutant reductions in thermal plants.
