Abstract
In this paper, we propose a pointer forwarding scheme for minimizing signaling costs in nested mobile networks. Our work has focused on addressing the network mobility scheme over hierarchical mobile IPv6 networks. Moreover, a pointer forwarding strategy is used to reduce the signalling traffic. The cost analysis presented in this paper shows that our proposal offers considerable performance advantages to existing network mobility scheme.
