Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. Thermal effects on the integrated semiconductors in an interface for digital control, as well as the semiconductors for alarms and activators were studied. The purpose of the study was to find the best material for thermal protection. The interface works under open air conditions. It is necessary to observe the thermal resistance and the effect of ultraviolet rays from solar radiation on semiconductors. The relationship between thermal variations and the humidity of the plant were considered, along with the effects of air currents on the circuits. The interface design was based on the 8255A (programmable peripheral interface) and various TTL circuits. The sensors and alarms used were commercial devices built by different companies, specifically adapted to the particular thermal conditions
