Abstract :
This study examines how private entrepreneurs´ social responsibility perceptions relate to various aspects of their firm performance and whether such relationships vary dependent on the size and stage of information and communication technology (ICT) firms. Our analyses of 180 private enterprises in the ICT industry show that “CSR and profit compatibility” positively relate to both short-term and long-term firm performance. This positive relationship is stronger for smaller firms in their early stage of development.
