Abstract :
The performance of a large random array of sleeved monopole elements is analyzed. An outline of the analysis for the active admittance, element patterns and scattering (coupling) coefficients is given. The characteristic features of the active admittance and element patterns and their dependence on array and element geometry is discussed. The large array design tradeoffs are also presented.<>
