Abstract :
In this paper, performance evaluation of multitaper spectrum sensing using sinusoidal tapers is presented. In literature slepian tapers are used routinely for spectrum sensing. Riedel introduced sinusoidal tapers as a new family of orthogonal tapers for multitaper spectral estimation (MTSE). In this work, performance of MTSE detector is evaluated using both tapers. Results show that sinusoidal tapers get better results compared to slepian tapers.
