Abstract :
Nowadays there is a large quantities of ash discharged from coal-fired fluidized-bed combustion boilers that has a low utilization rate. The road base material made of CFBC ashes can make use of large quantities solid waste and educe mining of natural stone and soil, which has obvious economic and social benefits. It also would be useful for the environment. There would be an enormous demand for such road base material. A simple and low-cost road base material production process has, therefore, been developed where the CFBC ash is mixed with, fly-ash and water. This paper discusses the conditions of road base construction and the road performance test results.
