  • Abstract
The proposed work has introduced a new mathematical model that will address the issue of power control in mobile adhoc network (MANET). The issue of minimizing the power consumption to successfully transmit a message over a route is formalized with consideration of transmission, re-routing overhead, hardware level power utilization, feasibility of bit error, and duty cycle. The model efficiently uses the size of the packet and power for transmitting for every bit of information. It also introduces a physical layer optimization technique for describing the payoff of the mathematical model. The experiment done in Matlab considering both hypothetical and real-time scenarios to show that proposed scheme gives a better illustration of the influence of mean power and the rate of information limitation on power utilization and evaluates the efficient size of packet, transmission distance, duty cycle using different types of modulation.
