Abstract
This paper describes an application-enhanced approach to teaching fundamental concepts in electromagnetics at the introductory undergraduate level. The use of numerical tools and interactive visualization is emphasized to aid in presentation and validation of basic concepts. The goal to illustrate the use of theory in practical applications and to exploit visualization as a supplementary instructional tool.<>
