Abstract
The performance of a sinusoidal input current applied to the left-hand end of the conduit termination is analyzed as a function of frequency. The measured performance of a simulated shield conduit (using a helix cable to simulate the conduit and shield of a signal cable) is compared with the predicted shielding performance. The data show that the model predicts the performance quite well except at the upper end of the frequency range. The discrepancy is attributed to resonance phenomena in the triaxial fitting not accounted for by the present theory.<>
