Abstract
This paper presents an WiFi-based infrastructure wireless mesh network, which supports real-time applications with low packets-loss ratio and free movement, such as VoIP, online games, etc. A hybrid routing scheme is used to minimize packets forwarding latency, and both intra-domain and inter-domain handoffs are considered to provide seamless roaming. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed architecture shortens time cost by forwarding packets and reduces overhead during handoff, and thus it is a promising network scheme in terms of speed and loss ratio.
