Abstract
Metal alloy cathodes based on alloys of iridium with rare earth and refractory metals for very high emission-density of 50 to 100 A/cm2 applications are described. These metal alloy cathodes found wide application in vacuum microwave devices. Cathode designs and a list of these metal alloy cathodes are presented.
