Abstract :
This paper presents a moment-method analysis of waveguide diaphragms/irises of arbitrary shape. The "generalised network formulation" for aperture problems has been used for formulating the problem in terms of an operator equation. Triangular patch modelling, using suitably defined basis functions, has been used to solve the operator equation. Various pertinent parameters have been evaluated and numerical results validated. The validated results are found to be in good agreement with the published data. Thereafter, data generated for new problems have also been given.
