Abstract
Summary form only given.A rapidly expanding field of research is coherent control of molecules. Several of the proposed techniques require two synchronized, broadband, high-intensity pulses. The dual wavelength mode-locked Ti:sapphire oscillators that have recently been developed give the appropriate wavelength separations for these techniques, but the pulses must be amplified to carry out these experiments.
