  • Abstract
    We investigate through a formalism similar to a coupled mode theory in time, the behavior of a system composed by a direct coupled cavity with inside it a quantum dot in cascade configuration. We derive the conditions for which switching can be achieved. Two quantum optical effects are considered: vacuum Rabi splitting and the Autler-Town doublet.
