  • Abstract
    The paper will show the actual performance of a Thales waveguide output solution for today high power S-Band TWTs. The WR340 ¼ height waveguide output has no more any dielectric inside the interface. It is a common output solution for all S-Band high power RC and CC TWTs and is also usable for future TWT developments with higher output power. Furthermore the paper shows the data of an improved RC TWT with 25W higher output power, realized only by an increased TWT efficiency. The data are based on the qualification test performed on the RC and CC S-Band tube.
