Abstract
A novel restoration scheme for multi-failures based on dynamic weight protection ring (DWPR) is proposed in this paper, which resolves the simultaneous multi-failures and the conflicts by restoration between services effectively in Wavelength-Division-Multiplexing (WDM) optical mesh networks. DWPR use dijkstra algorithm to calculate route and protection ring. The protection ring is used to partition multi-failures, which can shorten the delay time by recovering link failures. Dynamic weight is introduced as load balancing, which reduces the conflict caused by restoring on common resource. Simulation results show that, compared with other scheme, DWPR has lower blocking rate, higher resource utilization and better multi-failures restoration rate.
