Abstract
Summary form only given. For the applications of optical display, optical interconnects and optical computing, it is essential to have excellent two dimensional (2D) light sources that show uniform threshold, operation currents, and lasing spectrum, especially in high-density integration. Photonic quantum ring (PQR) lasers are considered as good candidate for such applications due to the inherent characteristics such as ultralow threshold currents, square-root-T-dependent spectral peak shift, compatibility to high density 2D integration. In this presentation, we show the uniformity of lasing threshold, spectrum, and light vs. current curve of the fabricated 8/spl times/8 PQR laser arrays.
