Abstract
In this paper we propose a technique for emulating three terminal standard inductors with a tee network of two resistors and a capacitor. By separate measurement of the resistances and the capacitance, the equivalent inductance may be calculated. By introducing unloading amplifiers into the emulation tee network, unwanted impedances to ground may be cancelled. Using this approach we anticipate that inductors in the range 100 mH to 10 H may be emulated to an accuracy of at least 100 parts per million.
